During Diversity Week, Kirtida, from the Hindu Temple in Newcastle (West Gate Road), came to visit, the focus -to give an outline of Hinduism. They were involved in singing, playing musical instruments, looking at and discussing different artefacts, trying on jewellery, learning new vocabulary and watching a prayer ceremony.

The children were very responsive and enthusiastic, lots of valuable questions and discussions about the display Kirtida had set up. They really enjoyed it.

Kirtida asked the class for a single word to describe the workshop and the religion-all very positive e.g. amazing, peaceful, relaxing, calming, interesting and epic.
