For a few weeks, at different times between lessons, Mrs Armstrong could put up her feet for a few minutes and allow some new teachers take over the Year One classroom. Each pupil in our class delivered a presentation on some aspect of sea life or a favourite coastal resort.
Armed with their colourful and informative poster presentations or other visual aids, each child began to present the findings of their research that was completed for homework. Good use was made of presentation techniques. Question and answer sessions followed the presentations and our experts were able to explain and elaborated on aspects in further detail to their captivated audience.
We all reaped the benefits of their teaching as most were more than willing to step into the limelight to teach and inform their classmates and Mrs Armstrong and Mrs Nevin learned a thing or two about an array of fascinating creatures and lovely local coastal towns and beauty spots!
