Nurse Wendy from the QE hospital in Gateshead, has been to visit us. She told us all about the different roles and jobs people have in hospitals and why we might need to go into hospital. She also brought lots of equipment from a hospital to show us. We had a turn too!
We listened to heartbeats with a stethoscope.
We tried on some real plaster casts and looked at x-rays too!
We checked our temperature with a thermometer.
The pulse oximeter tells us how fast our heart is beating and how much oxygen is in our blood.
We could hear our heartbeat on the doppler machine.
We got to wear a sling!
We tried on some bandages!
We checked our blood pressure by squeezing the pump to make the band go tight around our arm.
Would anyone like to work in a hospital when you are a grown up?
