At Fellside, we recognise that homework can play some part in our children's academic success, when it supports our children to cement or extend the knowledge learnt in class. As a rule, we encourage our children to take part in three elements of home learning each week, which are emailed to families via eSchools on behalf of the Class Teacher.
Reading
Each child has a Reading Record in which to record the books which they are reading at home. Books may reflect their Accelerated Reader ZPD, if in Key Stage Two, or their phonics stage if in Early Years / Key Stage One.
Children in Key Stage Two may understake a quiz linked to their Accelerated Reader book if they so wish. The link to use if they wish to take a quiz is Renaissance Learning Login. Children have their login details on a sticker in their Reading Record Books.

Spellings
Key Stage Two children take part in spelling tests linked to the spellings being taught the previous week,. A copy of the week's spellings are sent to families via eSchools every Friday during term time.
