Welcome to Year 2’s homepage where we will be sharing our adventures over the school year.

Year 2 is an exciting year where pupils develop as independent learners whilst continuing to challenge themselves. We have a strong caring ethos where we respect one and other and demonstrate kindness.  

It’s going to be an interesting, exciting time for the class, with lots of opportunities ahead. We have lots of topics for pupils to explore and learn about including examining castles from the past in History, continents of the world in Geography and finding out about lots of scientists and inventors in Science. We love learning about the many and various careers that are out in the big, wide world and love to see how the skills and knowledge we learn in Year 2 prepare us for our adult lives.

We have many opportunities to develop sports in Year 2 and love our visits to Whickham School to participate in cluster events..

Pupils enjoy their time in Year 2 and leave as confident learners, excited for their next adventure.
