Year Three’s Trip to The Rising Sun Country Park

We had a wonderful time at The Rising Sun Country Park for our Stone Age Day. Everyone had lots of fun making flat bread with basic ingredients and then cooking them over the campfire. They definitely looked better than they tasted. We also learnt how stone age people would make their flour through a four step process. This consisted of picking, threshing, winnowing and grinding the wheat to make flour. We soon found out that this was a strenuous process to get enough flour to feed their whole family.  After lunch we looked at replica artifacts that would have been used during the Stone Age and then we went on to building our own dens. This trip was “the best trip ever!”
